Dublin Spire
Located on O'Connell Street, the Spire of Dublin aka the Monument of Lights is a 120 meter (393 ft.) needle-like structure located at the former site of Nelson's Pillar in Dublin, a monument that was destroyed by an IRA bomb in 1966. Unveiled in January 2003, this is now Dublin's largest structure. The spire looks different under every lighting condition. At night, its stainless steel surface resembles black satin, while early morning and last light gave it a steely blue colour. In daytime under bright sunlight, it does not even look real from a distance, instead it looks like a computer simulation. For more information view http://www.irish-architecture.com/
