Dublin Restaurants
Dublin restaurants offer a wide variety of cuisine to suit all budgets that range from traditional Irish food to international favourites. Visitors to the city are often surprised by the high quality of food served in Irish eateries. Many feel that the quality of Irish cuisine has remained a European secret. As an island Ireland offers excellent fish restaurants. Some of the best ones are located in the many seaside villages that neighbour Dublin city. Ireland is renowned for quality beef as well as other meat products and offers a variety of home grown fruit and vegetables. This produce is evident at the many farmer's markets that have cropped up all over the country in recent years.
Traditional pubs are great for informal dining and large food portions. The new trend in the city has been an increase in the more trendy "gastro pub." Dublin also offers a variety of medium priced restaurants and for a special treat some Michelin star venues.
