Team Building Activities - Groups
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Full Day Event
The Sailing Regatta and Barbecue
Strap on your lifejacket for this exciting teambuilding event! Teams depart from Port Annapolis Marina and head toward the starting location. Along the way, their very own Captain instructs team members on the basics of sailing. After all the regatta boats reach a predetermined point, the race back to Port Annapolis Marina begins! Based on group size, teams may race 25' to 40' captained sailboats or schooners. A typical race will last 3-hours (shorter regattas last 2-hours). Upon return, groups may enjoy a barbecue at the marina!

½ or Partial Day Event
Build a Boat
This sure to bring out the competitive side of your group! As you are divided into teams, you are allotted cardboard, paint, and a variety of other items. Your mission? Build a boat, theme it to your team. then prepare to take it out on the water! You win by finishing the race, or in some cases, by having your boat survive longer than anyone else's boat!

Scavenger Hunt
This is a fun-filled team event that will leave your group talking it about it for ages! Each team receives clues that lead them around Historic Annapolis searching for taverns, historic homes or sites, restaurants, boats at the city dock, and much more. Clues are task oriented. Once a team solves the clue and makes their way to the site, the captain gives the team their task. Tasks range from finding the highest-ranking military officer and having a group photo taken to "chasing" down an oyster shooter at a local bar! All clues lead to the designated finish line. The team with the most missions/tasks accomplished wins. At the conclusion of the scavenger hunt, a "special" awards ceremony is held where different members of the teams are awarded according to their special efforts, creativity, and team spirit during the hunt.

Evening Event
Annapolis Crab Feast
This is the ultimate Annapolitan tradition. A Maryland crab feast is a long, leisurely evening spent with your colleagues around a large table wrapped in brown paper with conversation and a favorite brew flowing freely. We can recreate this Maryland tradition right here at Port Annapolis Marine, the ultimate location for hosting a Maryland Crab Feast. Watch the sailboats gently list in their slips, listen to the happy sounds of Jimmy Buffet, breathe in the fresh air of the Chesapeake Bay, take in the sunset over the city of Annapolis and revel in the time spent co-workers and the like. You can even add a little flare to your party by hiring a vocalist or swing band to entertain your guests while they learn the art of crab picking. By the end of the crab feast you're sure to be hooked on this Maryland tradition!

Progressive Dinner
This allows your group to experience a wide array of restaurant options in Annapolis. Start off the evening by enjoying appetizers and cocktails at Harry Browne's. Continue onto Reynolds Tavern for a dinner sure to please your palate! Your next stop will be at the Metropolitan atop their rooftop terrace for a crème brulee station and coffee. End the evening back at the O'Callaghan Hotel for a delicious "night cap" before a good night's rest.
